My boyfriend got a pimple on his butt that got infected and turned out to be a staph infection. He was arrested shortly after, left the staph untreated and 4 more staph infections appeared all in a row. The medical staff at la county jail said it was gonorrhea... is that possible?

It is not likely, the tests would show what it was.

Gonorrhea is caused by the bacteria Neisseria gonorrhoeae (not a staph).
Who said it was a staph? Did the jail medicos do a lab test?

Do NOT take any advice from people who think you have delusional parasitosis or think it is a joke because it is real, it is debilitating, and will change your life. Unfortunately many doctors lack the knowledge of this disease and CDC (Center for Disease Control) cannot identify it, nor bother to research further, they say its in your head. The reason they cannot identify it is because what your feeling is NOT any type of mite. It is a fiber that roles through your skin caused by silica entering your hair follicle, becoming infected. What it is called is Morgellons. Basically an environmental toxin due to silica which is in many products such as soap, hair dye, etc... It should be illegal to have silica in any products and soon you'll find that you're NOT alone in this. I've suffered with this for 3 years, unable to work, feared I was dying because EVERY Doctor, (and I saw dozens of Drs and Dermatologists), used the same protocol, took full blood panel tests, some did x-rays, ultrasounds, all had the same result... I had absolutely nothing wrong. My blood results had no elevation that would reveal the problem. My x-ray would show swelling but no answer for the cause only certain that it was skin deep. One dermatologist took one glance at me and said I was depressed and didn't bother to address my concerns. Many people that had bad medical care committed suicide which I can completely understand after the care or lack there of that I received. There is one Doctor that can help... Dr Karjoo. I went to his website, filled out the questionnaire, sent pictures of my skin, and kept samples of the variety of objects that were embedded in my skin, such as fibers that were white, blue, black, red, short and thick, or extremely long, something that looked like glitter, hard small plastic shards, its unbelievable. Hang in there! It's a rough ride.
