I have a 1993 , 425 john deere mower with a 48' deck. It was blowing a 15 amp fuse. The pto silenoid was replaced and I used it for a short time and now the mower won't engage at all. It does not blow the fuse anymore but won't come on. I ckecked the belt and it seems OK. I see nothing in the way. If anyone has any idea what is wrong could you please email me at...

Hi,
The 400 series had an unusual thing that could happen on rare occasions if it picked up a stick. Look on the left side above the deck and way up in the inner curve of the running board for the park brake switch. If it is broken, the deck will not turn on and it could blow fuses before it falls completely apart.
