My land loard said the owner didn't want to remew the lease. He sent me a 30mday motice. I asked him if I had to pay Aprils rent his response was you have to finish paying Marchs rent. He never responded to my question. I was under the sumption that I didn't have to pay but find a place to rent in 30 days. Now the owner is stating that if I don't pay the rent , she is going to talk to her lawyer.

Why would you be under that assumption? You owe rent for the time you occupy the premises. Non renewal of a lease does not end your rent obligation.
