My house was not haunted when I moved in during the sixth grade. When I was in 8th grade, for a short while my house seem to been experiencing strange things but most of the time it only happened when I was the only one at home or at least when I was with my cousin. It started with simple taps and sounds around the house, mostly in the kitchen area. Then the smell of coffee when no one had use the coffe machine in the morning. I distinctly remember hearing the sound of someone pulling out a cup, putting it on the table, and then the smell of coffee. This I had experienced with my cousin. We checked the kitchen and had no idea what had happened. Then another insistent happen when I was stretching my arms forwards the ceiling and I felt a hand touch my hand. As if almost wanting to pull me up, but where would I go if it's just the ceiling? Of course I was alone and it was in the morning. Then it was another day with my cousin where we heard my dad call out to us from the down stairs of our house. We freaked out because we thought he was gone, and only freaked out more when we found out that he was gone. This once more was in the mornings. But then whenever I would go to the bathroom for whatever reasons at anytime of the day the light would flicker. My house had never done that! Turns out my sister touch a Quija board in an antique shop. ANTIQUE. Apparently everyone at my house knew that the t.v. Was turning on at 12am every night for three days. Well everyone but me bucause I sleept just fine those three days considering the t.v. Was on full volume with nothing but static. But the strange sounds and smells continued until my sophomore year in high school. And only happened to me which sucked! The last time it happened was when I was home alone. And I heard three knocks coming through the walls of my parents closet. I felt stupid saying it but I yelled annoyed "leave me alone! I'm busy!" and repeated that phase until the knocks gradually turn from three, to two, then one, and that was the last of it.
