Losing that much in one or two months is not only impossible, but the effort would be dangerous to your health. The average healthy weight loss is about 2 to 4 pounds per week. In two months you could lose about 30 pounds if you stuck with a safe and sane diet, but more than that would probably mean fad diets or starvation dieting and you would be depriving your body of the nutrients it needs to function. If 30 pounds would do, then start today and you'll reach that goal in two months. Try using the weight control app at WebMD - Better information. Better health. (http://www.webmd.com). It will track your food intake and help you make healthy choices while you shed the pounds.

Realistically you will need a radical rethink of your whole diet and excersise.
Cut down your calorific intake and increase your aerobic activities.
40 lbs in 2 months isn't really possible as it's too high a figure.
