Hi, I'll give you all the info I have and if you have any suggestions I'll be very grateful. My 3 year old italian greyhound will not stop going to the bathroom in the house. We are in love with the little guy but its ruining my house. We tried to crate train him when we got him from a breeder at 8 weeks. He cryed for a week straight in his crate at night, so loud to where my neighbors could hear. We tried the comfy blanket, putting the crate in the room with me, having him eat meals out of it, treats, and even shaking a can of beans so maybe hed be quiet. He never quit crying, not even for 15 minutes. He'd sleep in the kitchen while we were at work and on my lap when I was home. After a week we couldn't take the howling anymore. So I let him sleep on the couch at night. Well now he sleeps with me. And I do enjoy having a comfy warm iggy at night.

So after the crate at night did'nt go as planned we still wanted to try to crate him during the day while we were at work. Still fed him in it and gave him treats, also tried playing with him in it a lot. After leaving him in the crate for 2 hours while I went to the store one day, he pooped and peed and rolled in it, lets not forget the crazy crying like he was being murdered. The crate was big enough for him to stand, lie down, and turn around. Lets say disaster! I bathed him immediately and scrubbed his cage. Tried leaving him in it a little during the rest of that week for an hour at a time, he continued to do his business and roll in it. So I gave up.
Its been 3 years and almost everyday my husband and I come home to poop on the living room floor and pee on the carpet about once a week. And sometimes on the bottom of the couch. He goes to the bathroom before we leave, he pees and poops outside in the back yard. But it doesn't seem to matter how long (sometimes gone for 4-6 hours) we are gone because he still pees and poops. We tried a belly band and it worked for a little while but he still poops. We also tried the super cleaning enzyme stuff and scrubbed everything numerous times so he wouldn't mark. Is that what he's doing? We also tried puppy pads, he ate them. He definitely has separation anxiety, what do you think of that calming collar? I don't know what to do anymore. We are at our wits end. I won't get rid of my baby of course but this is just ridiculous. Should I try the crate again? Sorry the problem is so long, I'm just frustrated (as my little boy is snuggled next to me sleeping). Any advice you give I'll try. Also he has allergies to dust, yes dust, and seizures which he's on meds for both. Didn't know if that mattered. Thank you in advance and I can't wait to hear from you!

My 2 year old beagle does the same thing, he poops in the house every day and pees about 3 times a week. We have cleaned our carpets, used pet spray, the special calming collars, puppy pads, and the anit-anxiety pills/treats, NOTHING WORKS!! When we crate him he cries constantly and then goes to the bathroom and rolls in it. We have learned to just leave him out, he still goes to the bathroom but at least he doesn't roll in it. I do not know what else to do! I think I am going to pay the $50 or whatever it is and get the calming wall plug in and see if that works. We muzzle our dog everyday which helped for about 6 months and then he was back to going every day. I do not understand what the issue is since we take him out every time before we leave and he pees and poops and then we leave and come back an hour later and he went in the house again! If you find anything that works please let me know because I am running out of patience.

Oh and my dog also has seizures but he is not currently on medication for them.
