Look, I'm not going to try and play the poor me victim. I had a serious relapse for a year. After, about 6 months of my life falling apart I realized that I needed help, and turned to the only people in my life that I had always bent over backwards to help. My family. Enough said. I gave them temporary rights at the end of January so that I could get my life straight, which I have been doing. Earlier this month I was served with a Family Citation. I go to court this Thursday, April 26th. This past Saturday, I was sent a Motion for the Court to confer with the children, without an attorney present. I don't have one anyway. Typically, I would have no worries, but my family has told these children all of the truths of my abuse, and all of their asumptions. Basically, my children have been exposed to everything I was trying to keep them from. Yesterday, I filed a Motion for Continuance and today a Motion for Guardian Ad Litem. If we go to court within the 20 days that I am to answer in writing, do I still need to answer in writing? Also, I have been asking for my children to be involved in some sort of counseling. Will that be an option for me to ask the judge to order. I thought I was doing what's best for my children, and now I can't even speak to them. They have been turned totally against me. Yes, I messed up. I love my children very much, and feel even more lost than I did before I relapsed. I truly am paying for my choices, but want them back more than I ever wanted anything in the world. Please advise me.

If there is any way possible you really need an attorney. Yes ask for couselling for the kids in the motion. Yes answer in writing
