We got bensen about a year ago from craigslist. This woman said she was moving and needed someone to take her dog so we met him and fell in love! She didn't ever give us his records like she promised but she did say he beat parvo as a puppy.
Ever since we brought him home we have always noticed his ribs showing. We have tried everything to fatten him up, name brand dog food, wet and dry, rice, eggs, ground beef, anything and everything. A few times through out the year he would randomly throw up and be sick for a full night but then be himself the next day. My boyfriend had to take him to the vet this last time because he was so scared he was going to die. We're running out of options and money. This dog cannot die! We need a discount vet and good diet recommended!

A little more information would be helpful if you don't me asking a few questions.
What testing was done when your husband took him to the vet?
What are you feeding now?
Has he been dewormed, checked for intestinal parasites or had vaccines since you've had him?
How long have you had him, and have you noticed weight loss since you've had him?
How old is he?
Is he on heart worm prevention?
The answers to these questions and any other information you can provide will help the dog people here to help you better.
