My husband has recently received a major salary deduction at work... he went to court with his ex wife but her lawyer asked for a one more month continuous till they investigate the salary deduction... he already brought to the court his last two pay-stubs showing the deductions, a sighed affidavit and our new income declaration. My husband has also been telling his ex that this was coming down the pike for months.
My husband is stressed out because he is not in good standing with his boss, since his divorced my husband lost focus at work... as a matter of fact his boss was going to fire him but my husband negotiated a salary decrease instead... I'm wondering what can they to do to dig for information? Please help!

Serious term usage, a reduction in pay is not a "deduction" it is a reduction. A deduction is something like insurance or taxes that is taken from the pay. Reduction is a lesser amount of pay to start with.

The reason the court is having an issue with this, is that sadly this is a common sceme of men who get their bosses to show them making less, and then pay them the balance in another check or under the table (in cash) So it is very possible that this reduction happening at this time does not seem believable.

Last paystubs should be proof enough for the new salary amount. His ex wife will get little to nothing by "digging for more" information since employment records are not public.

Sure, they could subpoena them, but if what you are saying is true, then they will not get anything more than what you have told and shown them.

With issues like this you should have an attorney representing you with the court stuff.
