To make juice, you mix cans of concentrate with water in the ratio of 2 to 6. How many cans of water would you need to mix with five cans of concentrate? Explain.

It's a simple multiplication exercise.

so ratio is 2:6
you want 5:x

Can you work it out from here?

OK I'll give you the next stage, but from there you will have to work it out for yourself.

so from 2:6 = 5:x
therefore
5/2 = x/6

So now work it through..
