I started taking the BC pill last June and stopped it at the beginning of October... got married Nov 11 and my husband and I have been Trying to conceive and haven't had any luck, I guess my question is how long does it take to get pregnant after stopping the pill after not being on it that long? Is there something that we can be doing diff to get pregnant sooner?

There is no set timeline in getting pregnant after going off birth control. I hope you talk to your doctor about this. Maybe he/she can give you some advice that will take some of the anxiety away. It has been known that anxiety and stress are factors in not being able to conceive. I do not know if that is going on with you and your husband.

So please check with your OB/GYN and best of luck to both of you.

Everyone's bodys react to because differently. Typically they say to at least allow for 3 months after stopping the pill. Also, it takes most healthy couples up to a year to conceive naturally. I would suggest getting a pre-conceiption exam from your ob/gyn so that you can make sure that your body is healthy and ready for pregnancy. They might be able to give you some tips as well. Start taking prenatals so that your body will be ready, when you do get preggy. Then just sit back and enjoy the ride ;0) good luck, and best wishes

There are many different reasons women don't get pregnant, it all depends on how fertile you and your partner are, and if you have sex as you are ovulating. If you have tried for 12 months without success, ask your doctor to arrange fertility tests on you and your partner. Good luck. Here is some ******baby dust****** hope it works for you.
