The first day of my last period was March the 21st. Me and my husband had unprotected sex April 1st. I waited until April 15th to take a PT. It cam back negative... right after I took the test a few hrs later I wiped myself and I had a small amout of blood... but my period wasn't due for another week. I thought I had started my period but it had stopped. The next day it started again, then it stopped once again... then it started... but it was not heavy like it usually was... I would usually go through at least 4 pads a day... I used one the whole day... and the next day I used 2. My period usually runs a course of 5 days... this one stopped at 4. I have taken 6 test and they all have came back begative. I have had bad luck with PT and I'm not sure why. With my last son I didn't find out until I was almost a month before it showed up on a HPT. With my daughter I had to find out froma blood test. What could be the reason I can't get a result on these test?

You're actually right on track with finding out. Most women will not find out that they are pregnant until after they have already missed a period. Some women do find that it takes several weeks before the hcg levels are high enough to register. For a small few, urine tests never pick it up. The hcg will be detected in your blood sooner than in your urine.

Many doctors will suggest waiting until you miss two periods in a row simply because it is not uncommon to skip one now and then.

If you think pregnancy is likely, wait until you are about two weeks passed your expected period and then test. Or you could see your doctor and ask about having a blood test.
