I hire freelance writers and generally send them 1099-misc forms. Some of them have incorporated as type S corporations. I understand that I don't have to send a form 1099-misc to corporations I paid. Is there some other form to send to an incorporated individual? We'd like to make sure we agree on how much they were paid in 2006 so that their income and my deductions match.

Thanks,

Bob

You CAN send the Form 1099 to corporations; you are just NOT required by law to do so.

Yes I would send them to them anyway, it is easier for book keeping, esp if you do it by computer

If fr Chuck agrees, it MUST be right! :-)
