Is he paying rent, and do you have a lease agreement with him?

If no agreement, then he is considered a month-to-month tenant. Assuming that you have already talked to him and he has not been willing to leave voluntarily, the first step is to write a letter that gives him 30 days to vacate. Be specific as to the date he is to be vacated by. Then in 30 days if he still refuses to leave you can start a formal eviction process, which will involve the courts. Details of the process are spelled out here:

I think ebaines gave the wrong link. Here's a link for wisconsin: Wisconsin Eviction (http://www.evictionresources.com/eviction_process_articles/wisconsin_eviction_process.html)

But the process is similar. The main key is that whether you have a lease agreement or not or whether he pays rent or not, he is a resident and needs to be formally evicted. The amount of time he has lived, there, whether he pays rent or not, whether there is a lease or not can all effect the steps you have to go through.

Any chance either of these situations would apply to your BF? http://www.moves.net/PDFs/Nuisance5Day.pdf Drugs would have to be illegal drugs.
