I am a renter who has family members temporarily staying with me while searching for a home, what are my rights in regards to this??

Refer first to your lease. Are you allowed to have ohers (wo are not on the lease, or named as occupants) living with you as per that lease?

In most states, "temporary" or "guests" is not defined by law... but the bottom line is that if others are living there, then they are occupants... so you need to refer to your lease as to who is (and how many are) permitted to "occupy" the place that you live.

What does your lease say about occupancy, guests and/or authorized occupants?
