So you have set up a computer on your home network to act as an authentication server (users have to login to the server)? You also want to use this server as a central file server AND an FTP server?

For the central file server, just create a network share and have the client computers map to it.

For FTP, you can use IIS or any of the free FTP servers out there. If you want people outside your network to connect to it, you either have to register a domain name or use the server's IP address.

So if I pust a share on the servers hard drive that's it its shared? I'm done after that or not really

Well the clients either have to map to the share or add them as a Network Place.

OK cool thank you. But now how do I use my no-ip.info to get to the server?

What is no-ip.info?
