The other incident was in 1988/88 in New Jersey I was accused if using my friends debit card without her permission. Paid it back and that was that. Are these able to be expunged?

Maybe should have talked to your priest to get forgiveness. If you were not charged, and if you did not either pay a fine or get some sentence, you don't have a record.
