My name is priya, 23 years old... I have attained my puberty in the age of 15... since from that time I have been suffering from severe periods pain during the 4th day of my cycle. I will be having the bleeding for 5days. But first 2days I will have pain but it can be tolerable but always my 4th day is like dying with severe pain.Pain will be from my abdoman to thighs feel like something is pulling from inside severely. Though I had painkillers, spasmodic tablets like paracetamol, drotin, buscopan,Ibrufen etc. But nothing is not responding well.Pain will be more severe and lasts for one hour... I could not tolerate the pain bcs it has severe symptoms like vomitting, nausea, fainting, heavy breathing etc. If it happens in my home then OK I can manage but sometimes when I am in college or some places outside then it's too bad to experience such difficulty before others. And I have tried many home remedies but no help. Before 2years I haven't got my periods for six monthsso I took scan and diagnosed as PCOD. Then I had homeopathy treatment and still now am taking the treatment now my periods are regular after the homeopathy treatment... I haven't taken allopathy treatment becos of lots of side effects. But the pain is always makes the whole day sick and am wondering why I am getting severe pain on 4thday... What is the cause and what can I do to reduce of my pain? How should I save myself from this at least I should not have such symptoms? Please help with new methods which will really help?

Hello Priya,

I am sorry to hear you suffer so much on the fourth day! In fact I too suffer on the last days of my periods. Most of the times now (I am 29 years old), I do not even know I have periods on the first 3 days but on 4th day the pain comes as a reminder. I feel it has something to do with general health and well being. I have recently started playing tennis on a regular basis. And previously I used to go to gym which had worked miracles as in my pain was not there at all. I had the most comfortable periods then. But after stopping gym, it returned. And I am on the over-weight side. So my thinking is, the more you keep yourself fit (and do not depend on tablets), the better you will feel during periods. This is my experience. Hope this helps. If you still find it bad then maybe visit a doctor.
