My online tax form keeps getting rejected. It keeps giving me this message.

Form 1040EZ, Line 7 Federal Income Tax Withheld must be equal to the sum of the following: (1) all Withholding in Other Withholding Statement (If Applicable) attached to Form 1040EZ, Line 7 and (2) all of the Forms W-2, Line 2 Federal Tax Withheld. When evaluating this a tolerance of $5.00 is allowed.


I don't understand this... as far as I can tell all my info has been entered corectly.

You probably have a data entry error for the W-2 Box #2, possibly flipped numbers, i.e. 43 entered as 34.

Its not on my end, I copied box 2 down correctly, could the IRS have put in the wrong number on their end? How do I find out the real number if so...

I tried a quick number switch on my own. There was a 12 in the number, so I switched it to 21. Fingers crossed.
