My daughter's seemingly healthy 12 year old female dachshund had to spend two days at the vet. She is home now but won't walk and won't eat. The only thing that my daughter can think of that preceded her illness is her dog, "Mocha Bean" did a lot of digging in her front yard while she was working in the yard cleaning up and hauling away overgrown brush. I visited last week and Mocha seemed in great health so this comes as a surprise and a shock to us. An x-ray did not show any back issues or respiratory issues. Her blood test came back normal. Can anyone think of what may be ailing Mocha Bean? Thanks for your help! Susie

Arthritis? Shoulder or elbow injury? Neck injury?
What did the vet say he/she thought the problem was?
Did they send her home on medications?
Was she walking and eating before she left the clinic?
Hard to say really, I would get back in touch with the vet and let them know what is going on.
Or you could always get a second opinion or another vet to review the x-rays, sometimes spinal problems can be very subtle and depending on the quality of the images something may have been missed.
I'm just guessing here, your vet is your best resource.
Good Luck, I hope Mocha is much better soon.

U said he/she was 12, dogs age 7 times faster than humans so 12 times 7 is 84 plus the age he/she was in the pound or wherever so make these last few days happy for Mocha and let nature take its coares
