I hv a daughte,r and her father is wantting to give up parental rights, what r the laws & rules?? Do I have to have some one in return take responsibility for her, or can I be the one to have sole custudy?

We are residents of Post Falls IDAHO, my daughter is 8 years old.

There is this myth that a parent can just sign over their rights. But its only a myth. There are no forms because it isn't done.
Only a court can terminate parental rights and courts are very reluctant to do so. Generally they will only do so to clear the way for an adoption or if the parent is a danger to the child. They will not do it to allow a parent out of paying support.

There are no forms, and a child is not a used car that you can sign over title to.
If you are remarried, or in some states have a long time partner, they may adopt the child, and then and only then the other person can sign away their rights.
