I bought a black labrador puppy and got her home 2 weeks ago. The first day I had her I noticed a lump at the front of her mouth I assumed it was from bitting to hard on something so I left it to see what would happen. I had her at the vets yest for her second vaccination and asked the vet to take a look. The vet informed me that she thinks this is something that may well have been there from birth. I now have to take her to a dental/oral specialist with a starting cost of 500 pound for just an examination. I phoned the breeder she is claiming that it was not there before I took her home which I know for certain is a lie. What are my rights here can I get my money back or can I ask the breeder to cover at least some of the cost?

It will depend upon the written purchase agreement or contract you did with the breeder.
Also did you have the opportunity ( even if you did not use it) to have the animal inspected by a VET before purchased, if not why?

I didn't have a written purchase agreement. She got her first vaccination the day before I got her from the same vets I go to and she said they checked her over they found nothing which is impossible. I think she has delibaretely failed to disclose the lump and now trying to say it wasn't there. There is surely something I can do about this. I have been informed that the fee's could reach up to 3000 pound. My vet has told me I am within my rights to get my money back.
