consider that a wave is traveling with speed v through a long string of mass density M stretched by a tension T What is the numerical value of v/root(T/M) in the cgs system of unit of measurement and in the matric system?

The wave velocity in a string is proportional to the square root of (tension divided by mass density):


v = \sqrt {\frac T \mu}


So v divided by \sqrt {T/ \mu} must equal 1, and is unitless.
