So here goes, I am trying to help a friend to find her biological mother's name she was born in Johannesburg South Africa in 1961 and was adopted by James arthur and Elizabeth Susanna Sillands. International adoptions are extremely difficult to track back, especially a closed adoption from so far back.

Your friend's best bet is to register on reunion websites with as much information as she has. ISRR is well known for international reunions.
