I was planning to lose my virginity only after marriage but wanted to experiment. Because things got heated, my partner and I decided to try anal instead. I was wondering whether having anal would cause my virginity to be lost even though my hymen has not been broken. Thanks x

Technically, no... 'virginity' is lost when a penis enters into a vagina. I'm more concerned that you are allowing this person to pressure you into situations that you are uncomfortable with. If you've made the decision for celibacy, or any reservations whatsoever, then he needs to leave it alone and respect your decision.

As has been said, virginity is lost when the penis enters the vagina whether the hymen breaks.
If you are wanting to remain a 'virgin' until marriage, then I caution you not to put yourself into a position where things can 'get heated'. Experimenting can lead to 'accidents' or getting so carried away that you don't care.
It is possible for disease and infections to spread whether you have intercourse so be very careful.
You cannot make him responsible for your own actions or protecting you from yourself. Be responsible for your own actions.

Depends on who's trying to weasle out of admitting the truth wanting to lie about it...
Once you had oral sex you aren't a virgin to sex...
Once you had anal sex you aren't a virgin to sex..
Once you had vaginal penitration, you aren't a virgin to sex...
Once you polished his brass bed post for him (masturbated him)... you aren't a virgin to sex...
If you are mature enough to have sex... be mature enough to be honest about it and admit to it. Lies have a way of coming back to haunt you...
If you think a guy isn't going to be upset that you've been taking it up the butt or mouth from others while leading him to believe you was a virgin just because you didn't do it vaginally... you will be very, VERY wrong. Because it will eventually come out and you will have lost a lot of trust for being deceptive to him.
Honesty is the most important thing...

Also realize that the Hymen can be broken in a number of different ways. Sports, horseback riding, sex, etc. You might not have had a vaginal sex but your hymen might not be there.
So just because you took it up the pooper instead of vagina, doesn't imply that your hymen will be intact.
My opinion. You've had a penis in you. Had sex. You're no virgin.
