I just added a new fan motor capacitor with my new 1/6hp 1070rpm 330 volt fan motor, the wiring to the new capacitor is BROWN and BROWN&WHITE striped.I kept the old capacitor(dual) using it to run the compressor. It has YELLOW on one post (from the compresso)RED on another post from the conductor andPURPLE on another post(from the Fan motor)i DIDN'T TOUCH THOSE WIRES... recently the yellow wire was burned off the post yet I could still jump wire the same connection to get it to blow cold. IS THIS A SIGN OF A BAD CAPACITOR? IIt is 20 yrs old.

My question is the replacement capacitor going to look the new one I just installed with 2 clusters of 4 terminals ,if so ,which termials would I use for the PURPLE,RED,YELLOW
