Why would you need to know this? Are asking if a full moon has something to do with mental health? I really don't understand the question.

He is trying to draw a correlation between the full moon and the increase of patient admissions, with the diagnosis of mental insanity.
Think of the old tales of "lunatics" being affected by the full lunar moon.

Think of the old tales of "lunatics" being affected by the full lunar moon.
If so, then he is wasting his time. There is no correlation between phases of the moon and the indidence of lunacy (moonity) or admission to mental institutions, as was thought to be the case in the Dark Ages by old wives and old husbands. It belongs in the same coffin as the old notion that 'influenza' is caused by the 'influenz' of the stars.

This (http://faculty.washington.edu/chudler/moon.html) might help and it looks pretty credible information-wise. Although I have thought I experienced crazier calls on a hotline during some the full moon periods, its not frequent enough for me to be flying in the face of all those studies.

Only the hospital will have that information. Have you written to them?
Contact them here: Yale-New Haven Hospital - Home page (http://www.ynhh.org/)
Better still: Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital - Home page (http://www.ynhh.org/ynhph/ynhph.html)
