I've been searching for a movie since 2000. Its about a woman who was married to a verbally abusive man who treated his parakeet better than he did his wife. When the man died; he left his son in-law as the administrator of his estate. The wife had to almost beg her son in-law for every penny she got. The woman eventually took a bus trip a met friends who helped her find her inner strength.
