Some one broke into my car and stole my radio, so my friend gave me hers out of her old car. I connected the wire harness and the wires from the radio together. When I did this I made sure to put colors with colors(red w/red etc.) After putting it in, the radio worked fine but the dashboard light and the tail lights would not come back on. I had my neighbor look at it and he said it was the tail light bulb. He changed the bulb and the lights still did not come on. As a result of this, my SRS light is on and three of my speakers are off and the lights still are not working. I have unplugged the radio and that don't work. Do you know what maybe the problem. Please help.

Check all under dash and under hood fuses with a test light or multimeter. Before working on the electrical system next time, be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable.
