I'm replacing a 13 hp Kohler motor on a JD lawn tractor. The original has a fuel pump, the used replacement has none. The fuel tank being at the back below the frame, I suspect the fuel won't flow. Is there an economical electric fuel pump I can install? The replacement motor is a 12.5 hp Kohler, same configuration but has no hole to insert the old fuel pump from the original. It is a carbureted motor.

Well, I think NAPA has them available for around $20.The unfortunate thing is that the replacement engine will have a seat on the inlet needle in the carb sized for gravity flow not pumped flow. Good luck if you are faced with that particular engine.
