I'm about 12 almost 13 and I weigh from 93-99 pounds! I can't stand the wide rage! I've always been underweight for my whole life and I'm about 5 foot and 6 inches tall! I LOVE dancing but for that I require a lot of muscle... I really want more a abbs (my goal for the end of the year is a 6 pack.. not that defined though)... I really need angle muscle too so you and I've noticed that when I exercise I gain weight?? Is that normal.. like not that derma tic like I just went for a 2.5 hour walk and I was 95 pounds before now I'm 99! Why does that happen?

Muscle weighs more than fat. A good thing for a dancer to do is yoga. Take some lessons and learn the basic positions, then do them twice a day. Or learn the positions via the Internet (illustrations and photos) and YouTube. Your muscles will be nice and smooth yet strong.

Depending on when you weigh yourself throughout the day, the readout on a scale can vary aprox. 5lbs +/-. This is absolutely normal. For truest weight, you need to weigh yourself at the same time each day. This fluctuation is normal due to water intake/output, sweat and digestion.

Yes, just "walking" did not make you gain 4 or 5 lbs. And you should not be weighing yourself several times a day, In fact every few days, at the same time, ( when you get up is a good time)
As you gain muscle, ( over weeks not hours) you will have some gain, because muscle has more weight.
Over all weight is just one guide to height and over all body fat.
If you want to build your body up, a over all exercise program with sit ups, push ups and pull ups need to be included for upper body build up.

With a heart condition you should consult your Doctor about this, fluctuation is normal, but you have a health condition that may cause you to retain fluid.
I would think that your MD would want to approve any diet and exercise plan that you commit yourself to.

I have a prolapse mitral valve I do see a doctor regularly... They say it's OK for me to do gym class where we do 20 min runs (I beg to differ because I will even puke after or like end up coughing my lungs out... not literally hahah but the teachers don't let my not do it and if I do feel really bad I'll just stop and sit down even if they do give me detention) but... I can not do Hot yoga even though I really want to and I know to stop when I feel tired... and no I do not have any other health concerns... It's fine for me to do strengthening like sit ups (ALOT) and pushups I'm terrible at because my arms are like tooth picks... I am really skinny but I can't more abbs and angle strength so that I can get en pointe soon!
