Hi,

I am on F1 visa and filed the tax in 2009 using taxact. It generated 1040A
then filed 1040X for american credit oppurtunity and got the refunds,
Used turbotax for filing CA state returns-no refunds

In 2010 filed using taxact. It generated 1040A.
Used calfile for filing CA state returns-no refunds

However, I realised F1 students should file 1040NR-EZ , so
filed 1040NR-EZ, Form 8843 this year(2011).

Please suggest what corrections should I make and how to go about it for the previous 2 years, since I'm applying for H1B.

Thanks for you help

you need to amend the returns using Form 1040X and attached properly-prepared Forms 1040NR-EZ and 8843 to the Form 1040X. Print the word "AMENDED" on top of the FIRST page of the Form 1040NR-EZ.
