I have a Carrier furnace that is approximately 15 years old. The model is 58GP. It has a Honeywell Continuous Pilot Combination Gas Control valve - VR8200H. This control buzzes upon the furnace kicking on - about 75% of the time. Somtime after the blower starts, the buzzing stops.

The furnace is in a condo, and the buzzing has become too frequent to ignore. Do I need to have the valve replaced? If so, what would a rough estimate be for the parts and labor?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Could be the control transformer being loose on the plate. If it is that bad you might also consider calling a professional to check your equiptment
