I have a problem with my male Labrador who is 2! He started this waking up thing when my daughter moved out about 6 months ago, and no matter what I do, he STILL wakes me up 2-3 times a night! I've even allowed him to sleep with me thinking it would stop, but it hasn't. He's deaf, so it's not any noises that are keeping him awake.

Does anyone have any suggestions as far as "natural/herbal" medications that can be used to help them sleep? I have an appt at the Vet tomorrow, in hopes he can offer some advice, as I just can't go on like this much longer... it's like having a newborn!

In my experience deaf animals seem to be slightly more "ill at ease" for lack of a better term.
I'm not sure if it is because other senses may be heightened or they are simply easier startled.
He perhaps is reacting to the fact that something has changed by your daughter no longer being there.
However, if he is waking you because he has to go out to use the bathroom more often, or seems that he is uncomfortable, you may have more of a medical issue.
I would definitely discuss it with your vet, if not a medical problem there are meds that he/she can give you to help calm your pet at night.
And depending how holistically inclined your vet is they can suggest more natural choices.
