I just bought this HP pavilion g6 and they told me at the store that I have built-in internet access. I had that on my old laptop and it's a lifesaver. That is... if I could connect. I had this issue with the last computer and I had to call tech-support.. I'm really trying to avoid that, it's not easy to understand them, let alone hear them with a screaming 5 year old running around. I tried connecting to my network but it asked me for these codes and all, I have no idea where to find them. I'm stuck! Right now I'm connected to somebody else's wifi and it's a terrible signal. Help please?

Likely codes (actually the SSID or name of your router) and maybe passord or code that are in your router from previously... and that's something only you and your internet provider would have acess to. Likely its been set up to PREVENT the sort of thing you are using now... someone else's unsecured WIFI.

I'd highly recommend calling your internet providers help line... they know what you have there, and can give better specific advice realtime...

And maybe if you could get someone else to watch you kid long enough to get it done, like a neighbor. If you can actually get them on the phone, it shouldn't take you long to do it.
