I have an 11 year old Kenmore Ultra Wash 665 16812990. For 2 years the LOCK ON light has been flashing and cannot get it to stop - plus - since the controls are locked the dishwasher won't start. Couldn't afford to get it fixed before now. Is it worth it to get a repair technician or should I just buy a new dishwasher? I think it is the memory/control pad that needs to be replaced based on everything I have read and tried to do to reset it myself.

Before you go shopping try killing the circuit breaker to the washer for 1 minute. Did it reset and start working, if not try the Sears Outlet for a nother one and don't buy their extended warranty

I tried the Circuit Breaker trick, when I turned it back on the same lights just started flashing again.
