Hello. I am 21 years old. My periods are usually 31 days apart I had my last period on Feb. 28 2012. I ovulated around the 13 and had intercourse with known ejactulation (were trying) on the early morning ( by early I mean 2 am) the 16th of this month. I went an did a pregnancy test where they "spin it" and it came back negative. However this was only 9 days after having intercourse. I stared bleeding 4 days early. This has only been going on for less than 24 hours and is black and red but very drippy. I have never had a drippy period before and it is also clotty. Could this be pregnancy implantation bleeding or just my period and well have to try again? Wonderiing when I could take a pregnancy test again that would be accurate if pregnancy is indeed the case?

Hi there!
Implantation bleeding is pretty rare, and studies haven't definitively proven it's existence. Honestly, this just sounds like your period to me. Technically you would take a pregnancy test after a missed period. If you feel that this is not a period and want to test, there is no harm. I would say anytime in the next week would be fine. But like I said, it sounds like a normal menstrual cycle to me. If you continue to get negative tests, and still feel that you are pregnant, Call your doctor and discuss your options.

Try not to think too much about becoming pregnant, and it will happen. Good luck and baby dust!
