Me and my ex boyfriend broke up two weeks ago, its his birthday tomorrow and I'm confused as to what I should say when wishing him, I love him and I do want to get back with him but I don't want it to be obvious that I want him back on the message, please help*sad*

I broke up with my ex boyfriend two weeks ago over an argument we had about him cheating.

Please help*.

Just a simple "happy birthday" and if he says "hi. thanks" then you say "you're welcome. How was your day so far" then if he says "fine." then you say "would your day get better if i were there?" then if he says "yes" then you say "all right. i'll see you in a bit".

My point is, a lot would be said just by starting with a simple "happy birthday".

Don't say anything to him. Continue NC and continue to heal. Why dredge it all up again?

Agree with Wondergirl - he's your "ex." Unless HE wants a relationship, leave him alone - these "I'm calling/texting for this reason but really want ..." backfire.

You want to get back with him but don't want him to think that you still want to be with him?? Is this what you meant to say, as it doesn't make sense. Best not to play any games... say what you mean, as sometimes guys are not going to pick up on the clues you give them and you will likely end up disappointed.

If you know for a fact that he cheated, why would you want to be back with him? If you aren't sure that he did, perhaps heard rumors from someone else for example, maybe let him know that you want to talk about it in a calm and respectful way.

As far as it being his birthday, if you want to tell him that you hope he has a nice birthday, then say just that. "Happy birthday, hope it's a good day for you", then leave it at that.

I agree with DoulaLC, best not to play games and be straight and clear, guys can be a little slow in picking up signs...

Just wish him a good birthday pleasantly and be brief.

I see no point in rewarding a cheater, so how did he cheat, and why, and how old are you both??
