Group of college students brought a 6pack down to the beach in Cancun. The 6pack is placed in a cooler filled with ice (1000g) and H2O (400g) at 0*C. When the beer/soda and ice water achieve thermal equilibrium (the same temp) will any ice be left in the cooler? If so, how much?

Al specific heat = 0.902 J/g*C
Empty can weighs = 12.5 g
Mass of beer/soda = 355 g
Specific heat of beer or soda = 4.18 J/g*C

If the heat required to melt all the ice is greater than the heat given up by the beer and aluminum in cooling down to 0C then you will have ice left over. Show us your work on this and we'll help you out if you get stuck. However, one piece of data that you must include is the starting temp of the beer cans.
