My mother in law lives in this house n her grandchildren. There is always noises all around the house, they have claimed to see a man all in black. Her grandchild said it was a pirate because he had something over his eye.I also have had experience there. I wanted to know what was there before the house was created or if anything bad has ever happened there.

I don't think it is wise to post the address of your mother in law and announce to all of the internet that there are children there... just saying. Good luck in your investigation.

VERY unwise. And to answer your question, the best way to find out is to ask people who have been around the neighborhood for a long time. You might even be able to check in archives kept at the library.

HH is correct. Often the public library will have files on area homes and (especially) on unusual incidents. My town has a historical museum that has files on each address, photos of the house throughout its existence, and information on people who've lived there. The county historical museum is also worth calling or visiting.
