The past couple of night I've been woken up several times to see a shadow standing a couple of feet away from my bed , but the second I open my eyes and focus , the shadow backs away . I don't find myself being scared of it just more alert . I don't know why I've seen it but I would like to have an idea . The shadow I keep seeing is a human but isn't at the same time . I can't tell if it's a man or woman but it looks like it has tree like features . I know I sound nuts but the arm look like branch an so does the hair , but it doesn't have leaves.. It's like a tree in the winter when all the leaves have fallen . I'd really love to know what this could mean :/

Hi liv and welcome, seeing something like this doesn't sound "nuts", it happens to lots of people. You need to have your eyes examined to be sure there's no problem. There are several medical reasons you might be seeing this, other than paranormal. Good luck
P.S. Google "scotoma images"

First of all, if you're having this experience repeatedly, having your eyes checked is not a bad idea as Parttime mentioned. However, paranormal things like this do happen and more frequently than most people realize.
Second of all, even if it is a legit spiritual experience you are having it doesn't "mean" anything. It's not something that is going to have a deeper spiritual or philosophical meaning. It is simply a spirit entity that has a will and personality just like you. However, to be more specific, these spirits are demonic in nature and just because you sense no harm from it does not mean that it's intentions are not totally against your well being.
How old are you? Is there anybody else in the home that you can talk to about this? Perhaps somebody else is having similar experiences?

Thing is , it's only been the past couple of days.
I'm 19 and I have spoken to my mom about it she doesn't quite know what to think about it either.
And I'm the only one in the house having these experiences. -.-
And I have had my eyes checked and there's absolutely nothing wrong with them. That's the annoying part.

Well, the eyes were just a possibility. It doesn't mean all hope in understanding this is lost because your vision is well.
Has anything changed recently for you? Attitudes, feelings? Have you dabbled in the occult at all recently? These things are just starting points to better understand what is going on.
