I got my cartilage pierced 3 1/2 months ago and 2 months ago I noticed a hard lump behind the ear I went to hospital they said it was fine it just happens to freshly ear piercings and not to touch it two days ago I notice it was still there with another lump when I touched it the next I was bigger

Sounds like a keloid, but that's only a guess. You'll have to go back to the doctor for an actual diagnosis.

I had 8 ear piercings before at both of my ears. 2 of them was on the upper part where harder cartilage is located. I also experienced that but I just cleaned the area as often as possible with any anti-septic solutions like alcohol and soap. I always make sure that when ever I touch it, my hands are clean. And I think you should exercise it, move the earrings back and forth. But if you are really experiencing real pain, ask for medical assistance. Let the doctor prescribe you with antibiotics and pain reliever.. good luck!
