I really need help.. I dyed my hair a semi permenat black color that I thought was a dark brown and I hated it so much so I got color oops to take out the color and it worked it turned my hair into a red/blonde/orange color so then I got a brown color and it jut went back to black! So repeated this whole step again thinking thr I would dye it a much lighter shade of brown and it just went back to black again so then I had enough! I went to my hairstylist and she said she couldn't do anything cause it would just go back to black so she told me to wait 3 weeks and come back during those three weeks I used dove dish soap to get the color to fade and word to the wise it's really not worth it it just dried my hair so badly so after three weeks I went back to my hairstylist with my still ugly black hair and she told me she didn't want to do anything because my scalpe was very damaged from the dish soap.. so I have to wait 2 weeks should I even bother with clarifying shampoo? The color has faded but now I just have weird patches of color in my hair and it's so ugly! I want this color out! Clarifying shampoo? Or what? Help!

Hey Mmgraham23, what is your natural hair color? Just use a normal shampoo and don't forget to condition your hair.

Is there an option to get your hair cut to get rid of the colored hair and let the original hair grow out? Hair is an important asset in beauty, so don't go on experimenting with it. I would also recommend you to go to a trichologist to get help. Wait for at least a month, before thinking of coloring them again.

Well my natural hair color is brown but there is no way I can cut it without getting like a very short cut so that's out of the question.. and yes it is fadin but in some places more than others like one side of my head it hasn't faded at all Iam thinking about clear dying shampoo considering this is semi permanent but is it even worth it when Iam going to go see my hairstylist in 5 days?

From my own experience I haven't found any difference between a clarifying shampoo and a regular one. Both have same effects on dyed hair. Also too much shampooing can deprive your hair from essential oils. You can go and see your hairstylist but make sure harsh chemicals are not used.

The healthiest option for your hair would be to grow them out and then chop the weirdly colored tresses. And till then wearing it into a hairstyle that hides the flaws.

I too have brown hair. I went and streaked them blond. Within a month the blond streaks turned into a very unnatural shade of brownish yellow. So I waited till there was some growth and then went and trimmed my hair a bit(since my hair too at that time were quiet short, so full cut was out of question.). Every three months a trim, and voilą I now have my natural color back!!

Best of luck to you.

Well then keep on using the shampoo, hopefully it will fade off all the color.
