I have a non secured wireless d link router and would like to create a password and secure it.
How do I do this once it is already set up ?

Access your router and then go the Wireless section and enter and encryption key.
WPA 2 is the best to use, but it isn't supported by older machines.

You have to access that routers settings... open up Internet Explorer and in address bar type
192.168.0.1 it may be 192.168.1.1 or .1.2 point is it will take you to a login page for that router... it will also ask for login info and if you did not change it... the usual defaults are user name: admin and password is: password check here: Default Router Passwords - The internets most comprehensive router password database (http://www.routerpasswords.com/)

You can enter security under wireless settings use WPA at least and NOT WEP
