I have been on probation since January for a misdemeanor. So far, I have completed all terms of probation (DUI school, counseling, payments are current, MADD seminar). I'm even ahead on my community service hours. The problem is that I haven't formally met my officer yet. On my first and only meeting so far, I had to have a different officer do my appointment for her. I won't see her till next month and I have a wedding to go to out of state in a few months.
I could easily pass a drug/alcohol screen, and I have been a model probationer so far. Hell, on my FIRST visit I had already completed 2/3 of what I was given a year to do! This trip means so very much to me and I am just afraid she's going to tell me "no".
Under these circumstances, am I likely to get the OK? I don't have much experience with this at all. I have a friend who has has the same officer for the same charge and he was able to go on a cruise only a month into his probation with NOTHING completed. So should I take that as a hint that I would be able to? Is there anything else I can do to better my chances?
Also, IF my officer tells me "no", is there any other route I can go to get permission? Any advice would be great.
