I have a Coleman Evcon furnace in a doublewide that I need to replace the thermostat in. It is a heat pump system with emergency\aux heat. The wires in cerrent thermostat, which is an Intertherm, are:
R
G
O
Y
E
W2
X

Am I safe in assuming the X here is AUX or no? I am looking at replacing it with a Honeywell Programmable like the RTH7600 or similar. Will this work OK? I figured if I ran into problem figuring out the wiring I would call them for help, are they good about that?

Thanks

get the new tstat first,, check out the install instructions
I`m thinking the x wire is maybe common
the e wire is emergancy heat
check color of wire tagged to x and go to furnace and see what its connected to and doo the same with all wires, trace by color

Thanks, I did check the instructions for the new one online and it doesn't have anything about an X wire, that wire is blue at my thermostat, I will trace it back and see. Will probably have to get some help though, because most of those type of things in the instructions say to get professional help.
