I am in high school. I am supposed to make a 15 minute presentation about religion in the United States. Since this is such a complex topic and I only have little time, I have to pick out the most important things, however I don't quite know what these could be...
I already have:
- history
- separation of church and state (Bill of Rights, 1st Amendment)
- religion being very important and God appearing in many official documents and ceremonies (In God We Trust, Pledge of Allegiance, swearing on a Bible, etc. Etc.)
- the character of religion in the US
- regions (Bible Belt, Unchurched Belt, Jell-O Belt)
- a graph of the population's religious preference
- Protestants in the US
- Catholics in the US
- Jews in the US
- Oriental religions in the US
I have no idea what else I could add. I would really appreciate suggestions or hear what you guys think is important. It would help me immensely.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
