I have always been just working trying to provide for my son, I am a single mother. I am now in panic mode about providing assistance to my sons wish to attend college. I told him he will go. I don't know where to look and I have no one to turn to. I have two years to come up with a brilliant plan. I believe he can go wherever he wants because he is a straight A student. I don't wish for him to go the route where he will end up forever in debt after he finishes his studies. Is there any way possible?

In Florida you have a great opportunity for help with college since your son is doing so well. Take a look through the Bright Futures website and contact your son's school counselor asap.

The community service hours can be achieved through a variety of means. His counselor should be able to put him in touch with different businesses/organizations for volunteers hours. We have had high school students help out at the elementary schools, for example, to gain hours.

First a child should work and provide part of his own college funds, if not, they often never fully appreciate it, they wash dishes, delivery pizza, clean gutters.
Next there are several grants and loans though state and federal governments. And next stop the worry, it is his place to also help, is he working now saving money to help pay

Try to get your son a student credit card.
Such poor advice I can't believe anyone first did not read the question but has some credit card agenda obvious from all of their posts
