I have no trouble with my keyboard except when I want to send an email from my IncredimailXE acct. Recently I updated it and since then I have been unable to use the keyboard because the keys are all mixed up. They don't even have all the letters. Example: I can type"a" fine but this is what I get when I type "w' = ",". The same for all the other keys.
As you can see the keyboard functions fine here and everywhere else except Incredimail.
This is what I get for the alphabet:
A x j e . U I d c h t n m b r l ' p o y g k , q f ; for these letters
a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z
Can anyone help me?
I already sent several emails to Incredimail but have not received an answer.

Unistall the current version. Reinstall the older version but don't update it, unless its for security purposes, then you probably have no choice. Let it update then.

Also, you don't have an Incredimail account. Incredimail is an e-mail client, not a service.
It does sound like something is screwwy in the software, so you best bet is to back to an earlier version, or see if they have a newer version.

Err, Scott, I believe this is direct at me? What is the purpose?
I never said I had such an account, and I never said it was a service. Obviously an e-mail client IS a piece of software.
Your advice is the same as mine, so why reiterate it?
A software update for security reasons is what MS does all too often for Windows, it works the same for email client software.

If redoing the software doesn't fix it, then somebody may have messed with your settings somewhere along the line. The way the keys match up is the Dvorak keyboard layout, which a number of people (including myself).
To undo what they've done, open Control Panel, and then Regional and Language Settings. Select the Languages tab, then click Details. In this new dialog box, there should be a tree view with a language (probably English (United States), and Keyboard underneath that. Under Keyboard, there should be US (in bold). Anything else under keyboard, you can remove (United States-Dvorak would be the one causing you problems).
Oh, and those missing letters are on punctuation keys:
W on ,
V on .
Z on /
S on ;
Not that that part helps you fix the problem, but it's a bit of trivia.

Thank you for your very clear answer. I'll be trying this a bit later today and let you know how it works out.
Just a thought, it is only on my Incredimail that it happens. Will this fix affect my typing in other areas such as my regular email?

Sorry, the fixing of the keyboard settings didn't work. I'm not sure how to get back to the version before the update. Not very savvy in manipulating software.
