Hi I'm 18 and got a citation for underage consumption in rutherford county and just worry what I could face I never been in trouble before with the police and I'm a good kid too, my court date is coming up and don't know what to do I never been to court before but anyway I'm going to be going to a general sessions court and would like to know what the penalties are? And how much my fine would be.
And do you know how much court cost is in Tennessee, I didn't get breathlyzed either and cops never saw me drinking , I got cited with 12 other people at a hookah bar , and cops saw beer bottles everywhere that's why they cited us and only took a sip of four loko so I just admitted of drinking.

TN is a zero-tolerance State. If you don't want this on your permanent record retain an Attorney.

It doesn't matter if the Police saw or didn't see you drinking. You admitted to under age consumption - that's all they need.

Did the person who provided the alcohol also get arrested? TN can ask you to give them that person's name. If you do not they can make it more difficult for you, particularly if 12 other people were arrested (which is what a citation is. They just didn't haul you off to the Police Station.)

Court costs are added to fines and penalties, usually a percentage, so it's difficult to guess.

I would get an Attorney.
